| my artistic biography had to start when i was 7 and my mother put me and the parsons youth art classes. i was the youngest student there. my mom realized that even at a young age i had a great understanding of colors and my colors and drawings were attention grabers. at the age of 13 i began useing photoshop 3.0 my mother went thru the trouble of purchasing the expensive program at the time and even upgraded it for me everytime a new one came out. i learned alot using that program and began to free lance at the age of 15. at 16 i began gortiz inc. a small brand identity for myself. it was a hit and the success spread. i grouped together a bunch of freelancers and made them a part of gortiz inc. finding work for them and having work done under my name. the money started to role in. Gortiz inc has grown much more since then. at 18 i went to kathrine gibbs and got a degree in digital media and grphic design. i learned other programs other then adobe photoshop, including adobe illustrator, adobe after effects, macromedia flash and dreamweaver(now its called adobe flash and adobe dreamweaver) descreet 3d studio max and descreet combustion. now at 20 with the company doing good and a new website being made i sit back and do my own art. art for me and art for my veiwing public. |
